Beaverton - First Session

Lake Simcoe Beaverton

Got on the water around 1:30 pm with enough wind to power the 6.5 nicely. Used my shorty and was pretty comfortable. The NW wind always generates larger waves for the starboard tack but coming back on port some of the waves were smooth and wide making for some fun.

Wind dropped and took a break and was back out after 1 hr but had to move to the 8.0. Sailed for another 1 1/2 hrs with wind a bit up and down. Boy, water starting out where the waves are larger and having to use the large sail is whole lot tougher than Hatteras.

3 other windsurfers, and about 8 kiters out.

Not a bad first session at Beaverton.
