I'll take mine double double

Lake Simcoe Beaverton

Last session: 4.2M - 8.5M this time, 86L borad to 175L board this session that's double the sail area and double the board volume. Nuff said?

I had my heart set on taking my son out to teach him to sail, he bailed on me so I figured I'd go anyway and hopefully get some sailing in.

Showed up to marginal Formula gear plaining to have it fill in nicely not long into sailing. Wow, is sailing formula gear a lot of work. I felt like I had to constantly fight the board wanting to round up wind and constantly having to drive the board deck flat with my feet. Chris showed up and it was fun doing a little cat and mouse drag racing with him. I finally quit cause my calves were so tired from driveing the board. I wish I had brought my seat harness so I could have hung off the rig more. Good fun all the same. Glad I went.

The water is soooooooo warm.

Weather Conditions

flat and smooth
