Another Big Day

Georgian Bay Allenwood

On the water shortly after 2, solid 4.0 conditions, gusting over 60km/h. After about 45 min of chaos which included being sent through the washing machine into the lower bowl, followed by a 15 min walk, Tuck Tape Mike and I decided to call it a day. Survival sailing, completely sheeted out, not much fun. Almost had the cold beer in my hand when the clouds parted the sun came out and the wind subsided enough to make it fun again. Sailed for the next hour and a half in clean massive waves. Jacked up on the outside clean on the inside. Sailed till the sun set behind the ski hills. De-rigged in the dark. Thought it may be the last day however Saturday has some big time promise. Cheers to Mike who had to leave early but left me a few cold one by the van. Hope everyone else had a great day.

Weather Conditions

Massive wind and waves. A classic late fall day.
