Stoked and topless!

Lake Erie Long Beach

What a way to beat the heat on a temp. record breaking day.! the best vibe of the day was seeing so many sails out on the water at the same time....and never did it seem over crowded. Haven't seen a scene like that in ON since the pre kiting days (mid 90's). the wind was hot and the water was warm. At the shoreline the water felt more like soup! further out it was just nice to fall in and swim with the rig. Although the windsurfing conditions were not the best, everybody had a big smile and seemed to be glad to be out! The windsurfing itself was OK but not great especially when I think back on some of the sessions I had this year. The swell was 1/2 decent on the outside and the wind seemed to be steadier the further out I went. Towards the end of the day I was trying short board tacks both planing and slogging. I have no clue what the hell I'm doing! one thing for sure, it's the one move I need to learn before any other! Anyway the fun factor of the day is based on the overall fun, not just the windsurfing!
