Top Drawer Session to End the 2013 Water Kiting Season in Ontario!

G Bay of Course Wasaga Beach 1

1 Kite, 1 Board, 1 BIG FRIGGIN GREAT Time!!!

Beach 1 was just starting to ramp up when I arrived at 2:00pm...............I could see the line of wind approaching and could sense that this was gonna get real good really fast! the clouds were moving fast, the readings out in the bay had ramped up a few hours earlier and the temp was still 7 degrees while further up the bay winds had jacked up and temps had dropped..............................the wind hit like a freight train at 2:25pm.

Quickly suited up and pumped up my 7m kite.................by the time I was launching my Buddy Frank showed up..............................he decided to pump a 9m.

The wind was from the West, so it was a perfect direction for Beach 1!.....................first run I had to de-power the kite!.....................waves were building fast!...............on way back in I was able to Boost some nice air. I was hoping Frank would see and decide that he had better re-think his kite size selection!!! LOL!

The next hour were spent ripping out and riding back in on the waves...................multiple front side turns and a number of off the lips!

Around 3:45pm our other Buddy John shows up..........................U see, he is HARDCORE!.............he just got back from a week in the Bahamas were it was 29 degrees!.................yet he came up for a session with us in temps that were now 3 degrees! He pumped a 7m also!

The wind had cranked around to the NW to NNW now so I was heading out the other dierection..............................Frank with the 9m had to pull his safety as the wind was WAY TOO STRONG for his kite now.......................the next hour was spent boosting, slashing waves, riding switch both ways, riding strapless at times.....................................and goin " Holy Shit is this friggin WINDY!!! "

Leaving the Beach at 5:10 it was starting to get dark.............................grabbed a coffee at Tim's on the Main Street................................when I came out I was welcomed with a wall of white...................................Snow Squall!!!!

Excellent Season Ending Session!!! Would have loved to share the stoke with Allenwood and Sandman!......................but I love to venture away to try a variety of different GBay launches..................................Today's choice worked out just fine!!! :) :) :)

Cheers, BK
