Sunny Mourning Session
Pamilco Sound Canadian Hole, N.C.
Back On the RRD Firermove 110L. Again I am impressed at this board’s early planing ability. Not a lot of wind this morning but I was able to make it work with a 7m sail.
Practiced my planing jibes. I took some advice from very experience sailor (David from Philli) about shifting the rig around to help turn the board. It seemed to work fairly well, and I can see its advantages when sailing a big board. One more thing to work on.
You can see from my photo just how crowded it is down here. It is pretty quiet, I have only really two others who are here to sail. Although I did run into a chap this mourning from Quebec who couldn't handle the cold any more and drove down on a whim.
Sun came out today (not the best representation of this in my photo), back to t-shirts. Not looking forward to returning to the deep freeze waiting for me back home.
