Jay the cabana boy

San Francisco Bay Candlestick Park

The story for today was

Showed up and it looked to be really wind. I rigged 4.2 for Jenn and watched her hit the water, planing off into the distance. I rigged 4.5 for myself and after sending an OSR telling all about the good wind I went on the water just to have it drop. Mike Z. and Henri were on shore watching Jenn and I as the wind died.

Came back to shore and decided to jump Jenn all the way to 5.0. I rigged up 4.8 for myself as we both went back out. Of course, after re-rigging the wind clocked back to WNW and picked right back up. By the end, I was fully powered and Jenn came off the water completely over-powered.

Didn't have a chance to work on much as I was either under or over-powered.

I think Jenn had fun in the end though, and I spent more time rigging/de-rigging .

I saw Jenn go for a few duck gybes but didn't get one.

Great crowd out, just not enough wind. Hopeful for Sunday!

Weather Conditions

WNW winds were super strong. It then clocked NNW and just died... (forecast was for prevailling SW)
