Sailing the flood

Central Bay Treasure Island

Joined Jacob at TI for a session on the tail end of the ebb and the start of the flood.

Rigged bigger to match Jacob who was fully powered on the water when I arrived.

Had an OK time going around and had to flatten the sail but the sail felt heavy at times and also dead when I flattened it. Jumped a big, tried some aggressive over-sheeting carves down swell at first. No big big jumps or loops.

I did manage to get 4 tacks in a row (on my 78L board) at the end trying to avoid getting too close to the fenced off radiation area! A seal in the water was my incentive for not falling!

Good session if not just for the exercise and to clear my head after a stressful start of the work week.

Weather Conditions

Some nicer rollers at first then the water near the island got very very chaotic, but there were still some rollers further out.
