3 Awesome Days
Lake Erie Long Beach
Warm and windy :-)
Sailed tues. wed. and thurs.
Tuesday was so fun.....lots of sailors! At one point I counted 18 sails on the horizon!
Fun watching the talent out there....lay down 360's.....jumps.....someone wave riding off the point.
Wednesday was a real surprise.....my friend Sharryn and I had the water to our self's for awhile.
We rigged bigger not expecting much and left the water with it blowing 22 to 27 knots!
Didn't have time to re-rig and in all honesty I physically exhausted myself....it was everything I had in me to get back having the sail ripped out of my hands repeatedly on my last outside water start. I was pinching so hard to slow down that I was running right in to the point.....it was take a chance and go down wind or swim my stuff in again! That was one wild ride!
I can't believe Sharryn was hanging on to that 6.2!!!!
So jealous K was able to rig 5.5 and a smaller board and maximize the session.
Thursday was a wee bit milder with a slow start but by the time I left the water it was blowing 18 to 20 knots. Sharryn got another 45 minutes ....well done!
I expect her arms are a foot longer now :-)
Time for me to pack it in but Ke and Tony were still ripping it up.
I averaged my 3 days to 2 1/2 hour sessions
The pictures are from all tues. and thurs. John Grant, Johnny I and Ke
