A lot of sailors and a lot of rain
Lake Ontario Point Traverse
Looked like some good wind was on the way and chatter suggested a lot of sailors were coming so I expected a good day. I thought the wind would be best in the morning so Joe and I were on it sort of early. It was 3.7 for an hour or so for us with some small but fun waves. We were taking a break from wave riding when the boys from St. Catherine's showed up. Now THAT was some comittment. Rainy and up and down wind all day with some good waves off the north corner. My fave moments were Joe's frontside crash that I thought was a wave 360 attempt and watching Fathom hit a very sweet looking aerial off the lip only to see him bury his board straight down into the wave - scoring a 9.5 easily.
A lot of rigging today going through 3.7, 4.2 and finally 5.3.
Am super tired with blistered hands tonight after a loooong day on the water.
Great to see so many sailors out (most ever at this spot in my memory).
Like more coming this week as well. Maybe a nice Mac's day is in the cards.
Rainy, windy up and down but fun
