San Francisco Bay Candlestick Park
Only had a brief window to sail but decided to go for it anyway since the forecast was for a return of SW winds. Packed up the car with the intent of only sailing for 1h and managed to keep myself to just that.
Had to ding stick the nose of my board. The previous day's crashes which banged up my elbow must have also cracked the nose of the board pretty solidly.
Seemed like everybody was riding their favourite sail and making it work. Kevin, 4.4, Ian 5.3, Sofi 4.2 myself on 4.8.
Good crowd of people which included Daniel and all the Candlestick regulars.
Wind was perfect for flakas, strong on the outside with a nice lull near shore.
So until now I had only made 2 flaka's... both at Haskins on the same kind of chop / wind. Today I sailed away from 4, 2 ugly ones on the same reach (back to back, second one I technically waterstarted out of) and 2 clean ones.
So so glad I drove to the stick to make it happen.
Pulled off the water early with all smiles to go get groceries and make dinner for the Mrs.
Wind was strong on the outside with a nice lull by shore.
