Club LaSalle - So Clean

Lake Ontario Club LaSalle

What a refreshing sail. I've spent a lot of time in that harbour and it's nice to get on the Lake. What I will say about Hamilton Harbour is it really develops your skills. I'm so used to sailing in super gusty/underpowered/overpowered/shifty wind that sailing here is a treat. I had a steady 17kts for the first hour. Since the wind was so steady I could pump onto a plane and pretty much maintain it.

I really enjoyed my day and as the wind died I worked on some light-wind water starts, gybes, heli-tacks and sail 180's/360's. Also did my first clew-first water start!! Water was super warm @ Club LaSalle and it was a beautiful day.

I raced tonight at the Burlington Catamaran Club afterwards on a Tornado, and the water at Burlington Beach was FREEZING... Interesting how on the same body of water just about 40minutes distance the water can differ so much.

Weather Conditions

Good waves to ride and help boost you on a plane, super warm, great direction, just needed more wind!
