Huron waves 3rd time in a week

Lake Huron Southhampton

This time a doable NW wave forecast on Huron, Decided to check out new spots. Didn't have a ton of time to be driving around after driving 1.5hrs post-work, but didn't wanna settle on the first spot I saw either.

Found a decent spot on Port Elgin that looked Like it would be fun if wind had more North to it. Despite NW wind blowing waves in (according to North Huron buoy), wind was West along shorelines, which meant ONSHORE - Booo! Tried spots with more angled shoreline on the map, but waves were still breaking downwind everywhere.

Ended up sailing from beach near downtown Singhampton, very different beach from Sauble/Wasaga as it immediately gets chest deep/rocky and have to deal with shorebreak as soon as you launch. Decent wave playground in shallow spot by the rivermouth.

Fun, but same onshore nonsense with quad wave sup, tough to pump onto any but the steepest waves, most time spent getting back upwind into position...

Weather Conditions

Onshore, slowly alternating holes and gusts
