The beast from the east
K-Bay, Simcoe Tyndale park, Barrie
....have not been posting lately but need to get back into it!
Sailed a 6.1 on Friday for about an hour or so and the waves and wind built during the night- awoke to the sounds of crashing waves and strong winds.
Headed to Tyndale for 9:30 am start and rigged the 5.0 on the 101 but it was out of control. Switched to the 86l quad and all was right. Sailed with Pete and Mike until I could sail no more- ended the session at 1:30pm.
Great waves and swell for this lake for sure. Last time I sailed conditions like this here was in the fall of 1996..... the long drought is over. Super session!
