Balsam Lake Balsam Lake

Headed up to Beaverton to an awaiting classic doming event!! Arrived in the parking lot to see John talking to Chris who suggested to head up to his place on Balsam Lake.

With nothing to loose we arrived there 30 min later to white caps and plenty of wind. Rigged my small stuff as the gust were coming in were very powerful, but by the time I got on the water it had dialed back. Rigged up my 6.5 and pulled out the 135L and was fully to overpowered for most of the session.

Five pm and it was time to call it quits, the wind was slowly backing off and my arms were starting to fail. Thanks to Chris this session was saved from an hour of standing on the beach waiting to a solid start to the season.

Weather Conditions

Gusty but with lots of power
