Season Closer?

Lake Ontario SBX- Outlet Beach

After working like a dog lately I decided to drop the hammer and squeeze in a sweet little session and where better than SBX. Big winds around Consecon, but looked pretty lame once I got to Mac's Point. Headed down to Outlet and it was on shore and looked like Maui and much safer in the shallow waters, so Outlet it was! Took a while to figure the place out at first but after a while everything was coming together nicely. Head high plus on the outside with nicely spaced waves and clean in between. Smaller waves closer in- waste to knee- and glassy in between. No really crazy jumping or anything as I was playing it safe. Some absolutely surreal waves out past the Outlet River mouth that had lots of speed and push to them. It felt like a movie jibing on their faces and coming out fully powered and running down the same wave trying to find an opening to break back out of the line up. Timing was everything, and I payed the price a number of times for having my timing off. Goofed around a bit trying to ride front side and managed to link some together but kept stuffing the nose and going over the handle bars. It was suprisingly warm there. I never felt cold, except my hands for a short bit and I only had 2 mil gloves on. No ice cream head brain freeze. I found the water was refreshing from the built up heat from the workout. I thought I would chill quickly given I managed to shed 12 pounds since sailing last, but felt the benefit of planing earlier. Ended up quitting after nutting myself on my mast while trying to water start while getting rolled and had to pee like a race horse. Probably my best SBX session this year.

Weather Conditions

head high plus and pretty organized.
