Day 6 - last day, but what a day
On the water at 2pm with a 4.2; had to flatten it out (wish I had a 3.7 in hindsight 'cause I was over powered much of the time); wind was very gusty; took a 2hr lesson with Matt Pritchard to learn the mechanics of the forward loop - he claims it's easier than jibing, just have to pull the trigger... while I learned a lot doing the lead-up manoeuvers without the board, did not pull the trigger with the board- YET, but got to sail with an amazing pro. Money well spent regardless. He has a helmet mounted go-pro and gave me some great footage of me launching jumps that the wife can't do from the shore. Now I've got some homework to do next time I'm on Lake Erie, which is hopefully not too far away, as this is my last day in Maui (this year). Scott & Steve came out to Sprecks as well today; even had a Rogue Wave from Wayne & Les.
