teaching day

Simcoe Beaverton

Took my son on forecasted 10-12 knots.

He was going back and forth for 1.5h. Subplaning but still fun for him. Tried to get into the harness but could not get the hang of it, I presume the super light wind made harder. He did ok on the Boxer 5.8, the 8.0 Retro was you heavy.

It was well below 10 knots the whole time, I'd say 4 to 6 knots

I took for ever to rig the new old Sailworks NX 9.9.

Man that set up is heavy. Thank goodness for home made easy uphaul which works.

It was so heavy it made the formula board feels like a 100L board when up hauling.

Funny enough in that really light wind, the Nova think Will plane earlier by knot two.

One guy on 18m kite could not get going either.

Still fun to be out. First time sailing side by side with my son do extra sweet moment.

Weather Conditions

Flatter than pancake. Less wind than a fart.
