Falak [Day 7]: Flaka chasing session, some good tips and some progress

San Francisco Bay Candlestick Park

Today Kevin tried to get me to wind-up less when going for the flaka, after a few attempts on the water crashing, he then revised his comment to say do something inbetween what I was doing before (big wind up over the tail) and what I was doing now (no windup but no rotation)

Had a fun session with Kevin and Aaron cruising around. Saw Aaron nail a spock right off the bat on his 86L Freewave and then another very underpowered flaka.

Very cool to see, wish I had it on film as I think the "non-perfect" flakas are the most interesting to watch.

Tips:

+ Small wind-up then move the rig forward, once it's well on the way forward then you pop (don't pop then throw, throw then at the tail end of throwing, pop)

Progress:

+ Had one flaka go 180

+ 1-2 crashes over the front which I enjoy

+ Lots of tail-spin recoveries (boooooo!)
