Going Local

Lake Ontario MCP

Light breeze at the beach. Had originally taken the day off for a good erie session but that didn't happen. Ended up passing by the local beach a little late as I had organized other work for the day. Light breeze and flat water was not too motivated. I had just sold my biggest sail (7.0) and only had a 6.2. Ironicisonic was there rigging an 8.5,, saw Marekbad ripping on what also looked like 8.5, another guy came and rigged 9.5, so I bit the bullet and set up the big bamboo with the 6.2. Needless to say, the others were blasting by me! Got the bamboo to plane most of the time, but neither my board nor my sail could match their speed! I sailed at my own pace and actually found a spot where the swells got steep enough to get some little rides.

It was definitely a light air slalom gear day, but still had fun...especially being a local session
