I'm baaaaaaaaAAAAck

Hamilton Harbour CCIW

Woke up to a light breeze. Went mountain biking at Kelso. Oh sure it's fun and I do love it, but it doesn't compare to windsurfing. I haven't sailed since June 28th and I'm going through withdrawal. As the day progressed I kept checking the forecast and it looks liked crap. However the trees were moving and I had a good feeling I could get a somewhat decent session in....

Down to Hamilton Harbour. Rigging up and OMFG I forgot my boom. I haven't sailed in so long I am out of practice. Pack up all my shit, back to my house - there's the boom hanging in the garage... got boom, back to HH and now some White Caps. 30 minutes of my life gone and 2 cigarettes.

Headed out with just the expectation to be on the water. I ended up sailing to the golf course and then planned on sailing all the way to LaSalle, but changed my mind (see the GPS picture).

Wind picked up and I got a couple good long reaches in fully planing. I filmed with my gopro but was unhappy with the quality. My gopro has been fogging up lately not looking great. I guess I need those inserts. Also not happy with my farmers tan, it didn't look that bad in the mirror. Oh well got some good pictures, landed some gybes too! With gybes I'm just starting to get really aggressive and just going for it. It works! Practised some sail 360's in light wind and really enjoyed the day.

No wetsuit, what a good feeling! Windsurf is the greatest sport in the world bar none!

Weather Conditions

Mostly slogging, but some good planing runs in the gusts!
