What exactly are the differences between freestyle, freemove, and freeride boards?

none of them are "free" :-)
the freeride is the traditional shortboard for average joes like me
somewhat narrower, thicker and longer
freemove came out 3 to 4 years ago and are wider, thinner and shorter
Fanatic has learned and made the larger ones a little longer - they did stop making the infamous Shark after all :-(

never really looked at freestyle boards
some people are still doing tricks on old longboards, but they are a far cry from modern freestyle
boards need to plane, pop and spin
so, quick on a plane - rocker, rails to allow sliding and shorter fin for aerial tricks (and light board too)
not sure if they shorten the nose too ...
now they have FSW boards - freestyle wave = hybrid I guess - can do wave n freestyle ...
NOT too many freestylers here - although gtj does tricks in Montreal and Pierre on longboards ...

Thanks for the explanation. They all are available where I will be in a couple days. And they are all much different from what I am used to. Should be fun.
