Hatteras In April

Hello Windsurf Canada folks! We have rented a soundfront house in Avon from April 22-29 (Sunday to Sunday). This is a 10 bedroom, 16 person movie theatre monster and we have a few in our crew who cannot make it this year and have 2 or 3 bedrooms available. We are three families with young kids (0-9 in age) and two singles. We think we are a fun group (but hey, who doesn't think that about themselves!) and if you are thinking about Hatteras this April, let us know! There are windsurfers, kiters, surfers and SUPers attending. The house can be viewed at caymanobx.com

Hi Joe, All good questions indeed:

1. For food, everyone take a turn cooking dinner for the house during the week - typically you only have to cook once! All the food receipts go into a pool and at the end of the week we split it evenly - it ends up being about $150 for the week.
2. For the costs, if you've been to Hatteras before and you have reviewed the website for the house we are staying at, you will appreciate that this is not the least expensive place on the Outer Banks. Numbers are not finalized yet but I expect the house to cost between $700-$900 for you which, you might be well aware, is far from the most economical house for the week. But, on the other hand, you have to agree that this place is unmatched in terms of luxury appointments!
3. For rides, we are all in the Toronto area (crossing the border in Fort Erie/Buffalo) so if you are in Montreal, connecting will be a challenge.

Hope this helps!

Thought it might be worth posting a few pics from years past on this trip...
