Windsurfing DVD

Postby JayTurcot » Thu Feb 01, 2007 12:44 pm

Hey all,

Just wondering if people can reccomend any good windsurfing DVD's that have a good mix of free-style, wave-riding, slalom / speed (I love watching guys rocket across the water).

Also trying to look around for an actual documentary on windsurfing (i.e. If any of you have seen the movie 'Step Into Liquid').

Wild Birds looks pretty good... but maybe you guys would know for sure.

cool topic..

some of my favs....

Feed Your Soul w/ Lars Peterson. Lots of different sailing at lots of different locations. Nice music too, not that thrash/rap crap. very very good!

SPAM - pretty ok

theres also one from South Africa thats pretty good cant rem. the name is it the SPAm vid?

I also really like most all of the PWA dvds. Lots of dif action, various locations, interviews and glimpses into the lifestyle. pretty cool.

There is one I want to see but cant find. something like Chicumunchu or something about a windsurfing odyssey into S. or C. america? anyone seen it? is it 5 Elements?

If you're cheap like me, you can go onto the wind obsession website and sign up to get the free DVD. I was impressed for a free promotional dvd with how good it was. It's kindof cool to see Canadian sailors in canadian waters rather then the hotshots in hawaii.

I jumped on that one like white on rice.
Also have a copy of 'Unleashed' which came one year with subscribing to Windsport.

If anybody gets a chance though, some surfing DVD's are just so well done (in my opinion).
I just want to see something comparable for the windsurfing scene.

Great music and impressive videography

Wsurfing:
